HAPPINESS, FAMILY, FRIENDS, PEACE, LOVE, SMILING, RELAXED, JOY, GIVING LOVE.

Hello Lovelies,

Merry Christmas!

In recent weeks I have been teaching and practising a meditation in which we begin by thinking about someone to whom we want to send HAPPINESS. We can include more than one person if we like, such as all our FAMILY and FRIENDS or indeed all living beings. We imagine them with us or surrounding us and spend some time thinking about how, like us, they want to be happy, to experience PEACE and to enjoy life. We then contemplate that, again as for us, their experiences of happiness and peace can be short-lived or fleeting. So we develop the WISH for them to experience lasting happiness and we hold that wish for a while. We allow our minds and hearts to move with this beautiful wish which is really LOVE.Next we imagine that we become a wish fulfilling jewel that radiates light from the inside of our bodies like the rays of the sun. We imagine that this blissful light reaches all the other people and that they become filled with this golden and light and experience everlasting happiness and deep inner peace. We really let ourselves go with this visualization, perhaps seeing the others SMILING and RELAXED and, for the purpose of the meditation, we believe that this is the case. At this point, a feeling of JOY naturally arises in our minds and we stay with this feeling for the rest of the meditation. Experiencing joy at the happiness of others is our final object of meditation and we hold it for as long as we wish. Then we slowly emerge from the meditation and try to bring this beautiful feeling with us and to always remember our wish for the happiness and freedom of others.  

So I practise this meditation with all of you in my mind, in my heart, radiating light that connects us.
