Bangkok

Here we are in Bangkok feeling incredibly lucky and having a great time. It is lovely to see the kids enjoying a different culture, to watch their reactions and responses to the people we meet and the sights we see. We are all trying out the language which is appreciated and good for a laugh. I love the feel of being in Asia and there are so many smiling faces in Thailand. The people are patient and friendly in this very busy city.
We have spent most of today visiting friends who live about 40 minutes drive out of the city. It is always really special to go to someone's home when you are overseas, to experience a bit local life and share a meal. The food today was delicious - barbecued prawns, chicken satay,  fried rice, papaya noodle salad and vegetables plus lots of spicy dipping sauces. We also met some lovely people and learnt a few new Thai words.
Might leave it here before the hour of internet access runs out. Off to Koh Samui tomorrow.
